This is a Machine Embroidery design. In The Hoop MUG MAT. The sun is an applique with a circular quilting stitch over top of the applique. The remainder of the design is machine embroidery.
Included are very good instructions with lots of photos in PDF format.
Mug Mats are for a drink (coffee, tea, juice,water) and a snack! Larger than a coaster...smaller than a placemat. Can be used on coffee tables or in the kitchen. Very versatile & since it has a quilted fleece interior it absorbs moisture well..
This design requires an embroidery machine capable of using 5x7 or larger hoop size. Completely done In The Hoop with one small opening closed with Steam a Seam or comparable product.
